Return Policy
Last updated September 8, 2026
This policy covers equipment you purchase outright. Leased and rented equipment are returned or bought out under the terms of your lease or rental agreement instead, not this policy.
30-day return window
You may return purchased equipment within 30 days of delivery. The return window starts on the delivery date shown on your invoice, not the order date.
An RMA number is required
Contact us before shipping anything back. Every return requires a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number issued by our team - equipment returned without one may be refused or delayed at the shipping dock.
Return freight is the customer's responsibility
You are responsible for arranging and paying for return freight to our facility. Package equipment in its original packaging where possible, with all accessories, cables and documentation it shipped with, to avoid damage in transit.
Inspection
All returned equipment is inspected on arrival to confirm it matches the condition it shipped in. Equipment that is damaged, modified, missing accessories, or shows signs of use beyond normal evaluation may be subject to an additional deduction or, in significant cases, a declined return.
10 percent restocking fee
Once a return passes inspection, a 10 percent restocking fee is deducted from your refund. This applies to both new and refurbished equipment.
Refund timeline
Refunds are issued 5 to 10 business days after inspection is complete, to the original payment method.
What is not returnable
Toner, drums and other consumables are non-returnable once opened. Equipment configured, installed or networked to a customer's specific environment is evaluated case by case, since reconditioning cost can exceed the restocking fee.
How to start a return
Email info@jrcopiermn.com or call 888-498-2550 with your invoice number and the reason for the return. We will issue an RMA number and confirm next steps within one business day.
Warranty claims are separate
A defective unit under manufacturer or JR Copier warranty is a warranty claim, not a return - see our terms of service for warranty coverage, or request service directly.
This policy is a starting point drafted for a general audience. Have counsel review it against your actual supplier agreements and state consumer protection law before publishing.
